WHO AM I?
I’m Joyce Truong, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (CA LCSW #126023)
I’m a compassionate mental health therapist based in Los Angeles County. I’m a second-generation immigrant who grew up in a multicultural community. I grew up knowing how hard it is to ask for help, and place trust in another person to help you when you are vulnerable. I’ve seen the impact therapy can have to equip you with tools to handle hard days.
Outside of work, I immerse myself in craft projects, slow down by watching comedy and thrillers, and energize by enjoying concerts.
From public schools to community agencies, I’ve worked with children, young adults, and elders, those of who were low-income, monolingual, and living with intellectual, mental, and/or physical disabilities. I empower them to recognize their needs, navigate obstacles to care, obtain linkages and referrals, and receive resources and services. I am committed to promoting access to competent mental health treatment and psychoeducation in local communities.
MY EDUCATION:
-University of California, Riverside: Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology/Law and Society
-California State University, Fullerton: Master of Social Work (MSW)
